Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R-Iowa) fended off a Tuesday night primary challenge from businessman David Pautsch. AP called the race for Miller-Meeks at 10:10 p.m. ET, with the incumbent winning in a landslide. The primary race in the district—a critical battleground for both parties this year—has garnered attention as Miller-Meeks faced a rematch with Pautsch. In 2024, the businessman received 44 percent of the vote against Miller-Meeks. “I am now looking forward to getting back to work in Washington to lower prices at the gas pump, grocery store, and on prescription drugs; secure the border, and help farmers,” Miller-Meeks said.
